Panera introduces new menu items inspired by global flavors

Panera Bread, the fast-casual chain known for its soups, salads, and sandwiches, is adding some new dishes to its menu that draw inspiration from different cuisines around the world, according to USA Today.

The new menu items, which will be available nationwide starting Thursday, include:

  • Chicken and Rice Soup: A hearty and comforting soup made with chicken, rice, vegetables, and herbs, with a hint of lemon and turmeric.
  • Teriyaki Chicken and Broccoli Bowl: A satisfying and nutritious bowl featuring chicken, broccoli, brown rice, and quinoa, tossed in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce.
  • Chipotle Chicken and Bacon Flatbread Pizza: A crispy and cheesy flatbread pizza topped with chicken, bacon, mozzarella, smoked gouda, and chipotle aioli.
  • Margherita Flatbread Pizza: A classic and simple flatbread pizza with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, parmesan, and basil.

The new menu items are part of Panera’s strategy to offer more variety and innovation to its customers, as well as to compete with other chains that have expanded their menus with global flavors, such as Taco Bell, KFC, and Dunkin’. 23

Panera’s chief brand and concept officer Eduardo Luz said in a statement that the new dishes were designed to “deliver on what our guests are craving in a modern way”
