How SAPER Works

SAPER is a novel and patented solution that covers the entire spectrum of coconut palm tapping. SAPER consists of the following components:

  • Tapping Device: The tapping device is a robotic arm that is attached to the coconut inflorescence and performs the tapping process. The tapping device uses AI to detect the optimal cutting point and angle, and cuts the inflorescence with precision and consistency. The tapping device also collects the sap in a closed container and transfers it to the ground level through a pipe.
  • Ground Station: The ground station is a device that is placed at the base of the coconut tree and receives the sap from the tapping device. The ground station also monitors the sap quantity, quality, and temperature, and sends alerts and notifications to the user. The ground station also controls the tapping device and adjusts the cutting parameters according to the weather and season.
  • Mobile App: The mobile app is a user interface that connects the user with the tapping device and the ground station.
