Chara’s Technology: A New Approach to Motor Design and Control

Chara’s technology consists of two main components: the motor and the controller. The motor is based on either switched or synchronous reluctance principles, which use the magnetic reluctance of the rotor to generate torque. Chara has developed novel stator and rotor configurations that enhance the flux distribution and torque production of the motor, resulting in higher power density and efficiency than standard reluctance motors.

The controller is the brain of the motor, which monitors and controls the motor currents in real-time to handle the non-linear nature and offer smooth performance.
